2021 Swimming Carnival All Year 4,5 and 6 students. Also nominated Year 3 students.

On Friday 26 November, all Year 4,5, and 6 students, together with nominated competitive Year 3 students, are to participate in our school’s swimming carnival. Please complete the following permission and medical details (if required) no later than Friday 19 November 2021. 

Who                 All Year 4,5,6 students and nominated Year 3 students.

Where              St Andrews Aquatic Centre.

When               Friday 26 November 2021 - 8.45 am - 1.00 pm.

What to bring    Students bring own lunch and water for the day. N.B Canteen is not available.

Transport          Walking to St Andrews Pool in school shoes, school hat and swim gear. In completing this form you acknowledge that during this excursion the student will be subject to the control and direction of the staff member or members accompanying the excursion. This agreement is subject to and covered by all details as set out in the Enrolment Agreement.

Spectators        Spectators are welcome in the allocated spectator area

Learning to swim and survive is an essential part of the Health and Physical Education syllabus. All students are expected to participate in the swimming carnival. An explanation from parents is required from any student unable to participate.

  • In accordance with Education Queensland policy developed in consultation with the QCPCA, students must have a sun shirt or T-shirt to be able to swim, as well as having long hair tied back.
  • We strongly recommend ALL students bring a swimming cap and swim goggles to use at the pool.
  • Students are to use water resistant 30+ sunscreen.
  • Suitable swimming clothing and a towel will assist your child in having a comfortable experience. 

Please complete the permission form below (and medical form only if your child’s details have changed in any way) ASAP or by Friday 19 November. Only students with completed permission can attend.

 -  obtain consent for the named child/student to participate in the named off-site activity;

 -  help coordinate the off-site activity;

 -  respond to any injury or medical condition that may arise during or as a result of the off-site activity; and

 -  update school records where necessary.

The information will only be accessed by authorised departmental staff. The information will not be disclosed to any other person or agency unless we have your consent or we are required or authorised by law to do so e.g. in compliance with relevant Queensland Chief Health Officer’s Directions.
